Nativity Silhouette Cake

I used Wilton sugar sheets and hand cut the silhouettes.

Veterans Day Cake

Made this cake for the YM/YW.  They served dinner to the veterans at a nursing home and they just requested sheet cakes so here's what they got.  Simple and quick.

Housewarming Cake

For this housewarming cake I went with the theme of packing boxes.  Hurrah  for  never having to pack and unpack again!

Soccer Ball Cake

My Aunt and Uncle were visiting when I had this cake sitting out waiting to be delivered.  They actually thought that it was some kind of table decoration.  They couldn't believe it when I told them that it was actually a cake.

Wedding Cake with Roses

I made all of these roses by hand out of gum paste. They took a really long time but well worth it. This is the picture that I took at home, below are some pictures taken at the wedding!

Pebble Beach Golf Course Cake

This picture gives a good view of the top

And I included this one because it shows the entire cake.

Soccer Ball Cake

Soccer balls are a bit tricky, to keep round and to decorate.  I hope that the birthday boy liked his cake!

13th Birthday Cake- Decorated by Aubrey!

Aubrey, 7 years old, decorated this cake for her big brother.  I made the ice cream cones and then Aubrey put on all of the candy and icing.  She did a great job for her first big cake!

Minnie Mouse Cake

I gave the ears a hand painted effect and they
really look shiny in the picture.  They don't
look so shiny in real life though.
Just simple cookies.  I would have liked to add a bow but
that is not what the customer wanted.  I shared leftover
cookies with my primary class and they LOVED them!

The bows are white chocolate and the ears are chocolate cookies that I made and added black food coloring to the dough.  Simple and Cute.

Wedding Cake with Side Ruffle Flowers

The bride was thinking about adding some real roses for a topper on this cake... not sure if she did.
Here is a picture of the cake taken by the photographer at the wedding.  It really goes to show that my cakes would look so much better on this blog if I could have a professional take all the pics! LOL!

Fish Cake

I carved the fish out of chocolate cake and the board that it is sitting on is a big chocolate sheet cake with Oreo filling.  Yum!

Hawaiian Luau First Birthday Cake

This is the 3rd beach cake that I've made like this.  I guess I really like the way it looks.
A view of the top.

Here is the "smash cake"

They wanted cupcakes too so I made chocolate shells to go on top.

Boy Scout Camp Cake

I made this cake last year after Scout camp for one of the boys in the troop.  I forgot to snap a picture of it at home so they snapped a picture at the church at scouts so not the best angle but still okay.   The grey rectangle is a rock hockey court and of course I had to put a little blue Frog Togg on there too.

Camera Cake

I am a bit intimidate with carved cakes but this one wasn't too bad to make.  I thought about making the lens out of crispy treats but in the end I went with cake and I think it came out pretty good.

Supergirl Cake

A view from the back

This was a fun cake to make.   The bottom is Wonder Woman, of course, with her lasso of truth and then I put her crown on the top.  The middle layer is supergirl and when you turn the cake you see her cape on the back.

Gymnastics Cake

This cake was for a little girl in gymnastics.  I didn't have very much time to make this cake so I couldn't make anything complicated like a balance beam- which would have taken a few days to dry so I just kept it simple and made the little girl doing a straddle.  Hopefully it was gymnastics enough.

Teacher Appreciation Cakes

These cakes are far from perfect but all of the teachers loved them.  Jacob's teacher was even kind enough to cut the first book and share it with the class.  We made chocolate with Oreo filling and white almond with strawberry filling, YUM!

Nautical Cake

Navy blue fondant is a very hard color to make, even worse than black. I used a lot, the whole bottle in fact, of Americolor navy food coloring and I had to mix in a little black to get it to not look like royal blue.  I need to practice a bit more to get chevron perfect but over all I like the cake.  This is for a baby shower but it could really be for any occasion.

I bought this onesie cutter about 3 years ago.  I have been waiting for the chance to use it.

Disney Frozen Cake

Several months ago I made a pink cake with petals and Aubrey loved it and so she requested petals for her birthday cake.  When she chose Frozen as the theme for her party she insisted that we still have petals on the cake and not just snowballs.  So here is Aubrey's Frozen cake- petals and all.

First Birthday Cake

Well, I'm not much of a photographer.  I wish that I could get better pictures of my cakes.  I tried an outdoor shot to try to get better light but I ended up with a lot of shadowing, as you can see.  Perhaps a different time of day would be better??  Anyway, here's the cake.  Simple and cute!
