Disney Frozen Cake

Several months ago I made a pink cake with petals and Aubrey loved it and so she requested petals for her birthday cake.  When she chose Frozen as the theme for her party she insisted that we still have petals on the cake and not just snowballs.  So here is Aubrey's Frozen cake- petals and all.

  2. Amy,
The petals are really easy to make. Use a cutter to make a petal, if you don't have an individual petal cutter you can use a 5 petal flower cutter and cut the petals apart then you just put the petal on some thick foam then use a ball tool and rub it on the edge of the petal and it will naturally frill. To stick the petals to the cake I first covered the cake with fondant and then stuck just the top of the petal on using a bit of water, the bottom of the petal hangs loose. I hope this makes sense. You can find a really great tutorial by Melissa Diamond on doing this petal technique at www.mycakeschool.com Hope this helps. I used marshmallow fondant for the cake and petals.
